The United States is providing 25 million dollars (20.4 million euros) in non-lethal aid to Syrian rebels, the State Department said Wednesday, DPA reported.

The US had previously allocated 15 million dollars for the aid, which it has said includes such things as medicine and communications equipment, but recently added 10 million dollars more, spokesman Patrick Ventrell said.

Washington has also set aside 64 million dollars for humanitarian aid through the United Nations and other groups.
