Greece's coalition government said it was still at odds over a new austerity package after talks on Wednesday failed to reach a breakthrough, dpa reported.
"Austerity measures cannot be taken which will destroy Greek society," said Democratic Left leader Fotis Kouvelis, the smallest of the three party coalition.
"Discussions will continue, " he added following the three-hour meeting which took place at the official residence and office of conservative Prime Minister Antonis Samaras.
