Two members of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan were killed late Friday in an attack by insurgents on joint forces in southern Afghanistan, ISAF said, DPA reported.

ISAF did not identify the nationality of the dead nor where the attack took place. US-based broadcaster NBC, citing US and UN officials, identified the dead as Americans and said the attack took place at Camp Bastion/Camp Leatherneck, the joint British-US camp.

NBC said that Britain's Prince Harry is currently based at the same facility, but there were no immediate reports about his status.

Fox News reported that the camp in Helmand province was attacked with rocket-propelled grenades and light weapons, and said several people were wounded and several aircraft were damaged.
