US President Barack Obama arrived in New Jersey Wednesday to view damages caused by superstorm Sandy, dpa reported.
He arrived in hard-hit Atlantic City aboard Air Force One and was met by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, a Republican who has had harsh words for Obama in the past, but praised him highly for his handling of the storm response.
The men quickly walked to Obama's helicopter and were to view storm damage together. Obama was also to meet with residents impacted by Sandy and meet with emergency workers.
