The ruling Party of Regions of Ukraine has gained 30 percent of the votes in the parliamentary election, the country’s Central Elections Commission said on Thursday after counting 100 percent of the election protocols, the Voice of Russia reported.

The ruling Party of Regions of Ukraine has gained 30 percent of the votes in the parliamentary election, the country's Central Elections Commission said on Thursday after counting 100 percent of the election protocols, the Voice of Russia reported.

The ruling Party of Regions of Ukraine has gained 30 percent of the votes in the October 28 parliamentary election, the country's Central Elections Commission said on Thursday after counting 100 percent of the election protocols.

The opposition Batkivshchyna Party got 25,54 percent of the votes, while the Udar (Punch)Party headed by boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko obtained 13, 96 percent.

The Communist Party and the nationalist Svoboda party is in fourth and fifth position with 13,88 percent and 10,44 percent, respectively.

Other political parties failed to overcome the 5-percent threshold during the elections.

The results of the counting were posted on the Central Elections Commission's website on Thursday evening.
