Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a date for the next G8 summit. A meeting of G8 leaders will be held in Sochi on June 4-5, 2014, RIA Novosti reported.
"The G8 summit will take place in Sochi on June 4-5, 2014," Putin said at a news conference.
Earlier, in an interview with RIA Novosti, Russian President said that Russia, during its chairmanship of the G8 next year will give priority to responding to new global threats. He added that the specific agenda of the Russian chairmanship is still under development.
