NATO foreign ministers have agreed to freeze all cooperation with Russia on civilian and military issues over its actions in Ukraine during their meeting in Brussels on Tuesday, IRNA reported.

NATO ministers did however reaffirm their commitment to maintain the political dialogue with Russia.

Political contacts with Moscow which would primarily focus on the Ukrainian conflict, could continue on an ambassadorial-level via the NATO-Russia Council.

NATO foreign ministers will also review their ties with Russia when they meet again in June.
