The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed the law on the special status of certain regions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, RIA Novosti reported.
The law envisages holding of local elections and an amnesty for the sides of the conflict.
The protocol, signed in Minsk following a meeting of the tripartite contact group on the settlement of the situation in Ukraine, envisages Ukraine's passing the law on the special status of Donetsk and Lugansk regions and holding early elections. It includes twelve points.
