The US is trying to prevent integration on the CIS area, and such actions by Washington purposefully bring the Russia-US relations to a dead end, the official representative of Russia's Foreign Ministry, Alexander Lukashevich said, the RIA Novosti agency reported Feb. 5.
"Such intentions clearly prove that the US's plans come to mere geopolitics. Its essence is simple - to prevent the natural integration processes on the CIS area, to tear Ukraine and other neighbors from Russia at all costs," said Lukashevich.
"On our part, we have drawn and are drawing the appropriate conclusions. It can be stated that Washington's actions purposefully bring the Russia-US relations to a dead end. It will take too long to seek a way out. But such a choice is made by the US administration, for which it will have to take full responsibility," Lukashevich added.
