Authorities say a busy Arizona interstate has reopened after a prison bus carrying about 50 inmates hit a semi-truck that had rolled over, AP reported.
Around 20 inmates were taken to a hospital. No details were released on their conditions.
State Trooper Kameron Lee told The Associated Press the bus driver was seriously injured and taken to a Phoenix-area hospital.
Lee said officials received word after 1 a.m. a semi-truck had rolled over on Interstate 8. He said troopers received word five minutes later that a bus had struck the truck in the westbound lanes of the interstate between Casa Grande and Gila Bend.
