The first of sponsors of Maria Sharapova has gone public with a decision. Nike is suspending its relationship with the star while the investigation continues.
In a statement the company said:
"We are saddened and surprised by the news about Maria Sharapova. We have decided to suspend our relationship with Maria while the investigation continues. We will continue to monitor the situation".
