A complete power outage at the nation’s busiest airport has grounded flights Sunday afternoon and “impacted several areas in the airport,” Atlanta Airport said in a Twitter statement, FOX news reported.
According to reports to Fox News, the blackout was caused by a construction crew cutting a power line. Airport officials say the outage happened at 12:55 pm, according to 11 Alive.
Airport officials said the power outage has forced the Federal Aviation Administration to suspend outgoing flights.
