Major magnitude 7.3 earthquake hits northern Venezuela

A major 7.3-magnitude earthquake has hit the northern coast of Venezuela, European-Mediterranean Seismological Center said on August 22.

The epicenter of the quake was located 32 kilometers northeast of the Carupano city. The seismic center was located at a depth of 10 kilometers.

There have been no reports about victims or possible damages.
