The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) fired unidentified projectiles toward the East Sea on Wednesday local time, reports Trend referring to Xinhuanet.com.
The projectiles were launched from an area in the eastern coastal town of Wonsan earlier in the day, ROK's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) were quoted as saying. Further details such as the type, flight range and maximum altitude of the projectiles were not revealed.
"Our military is monitoring the situation in case of additional launches and maintaining a readiness posture," the JCS said in a release, according to the Yonhap report.
