(ForUm) - Prime Minister of Ukraine confirms the intention to do the best for Ukraine to join the European Union. Yanukovych told Thursday after the meeting with Secretary General of the EU Council, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana, reports Trend.
We understand that new agreement between Ukraine and the EU must show the way both Ukraine and the EU must pass to reach the strategic goal Ukraine's accession into the EU, the Premier said.
Speaking about relations between Ukraine and the EU, Yanukovych named them transparent. According to him, work is underway on settlement such issues as introduction of free movement for goods, loads and people, improvement of economy of both sides.
All these actions lie in the plane of Ukraine's accession into the WTO and stable supplies of energy carriers to EU countries, the PM said.
We understand that success will come when we meet our joint engagements, he noted.
