(ForUm) - Ukraine welcomes positive process of formation of new power in Turkmenistan, in particular, the decision of the People's Council of Turkmenistan on holding presidential elections on alternative basis, reports Trend.
The statement of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine says the Ukrainian side respects sovereign right of the Turkmen people to elect President in accordance to the Constitution.
Ukraine expresses hope that none of countries will interfere in this important political process. From its part Ukraine will keep following its state policy of non-intervention in internal affairs of other states.
Ukraine aspires to build effective cooperation with friendly Turkmenistan in different spheres of mutually beneficial collaboration.
