Ukraine's president discussed questions on preparation of Ukrainian-Polish investment project

(ForUm) - The President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko discussed questions on preparation of Ukrainian-Polish investment project on development of copper field and mining in Volyn region (Ukraine-ed.) with the state secretary of chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland Adam Lipinsky and the head of state company Polish copper.

This project is a realization of mutual initiative of Yushchenko and the Prime Minister of Poland Yaroslav Kachinsky.

I am convinced our interests in this project coincide, the President of Ukraine said at the beginning of their meeting, reports Trend.

In his turn Lipinsky noted that Poland is interested in development of investment relations with Ukraine, in energy sphere in particular.

The project foresees creation of advanced technology complex, corresponding European standards, in Volyn region.

The project is expected to improve social-economic situation in Volyn and other west regions in Ukraine.
