(www.for-ua.com) - Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych hopes the decision on Ukraine's accession into the WTO will be made in the first half of the year 2007. The Head of Government said at press conference in Lviv.

The Prime Minister noted that the final decision on Ukraine's entry into the WTO includes several components.

We must receive an answer from the Commission in Geneva whether the Ukrainian laws meet the WTO requirements or not. There is no official answer yet but, most likely, it will be affirmative, Viktor Yanukovych is confident, reports Trend.

Among the issues which our state must solve for joining the WTO the PM mentioned regulation of grain export and meat import to Ukraine, grants to agro industrial complex in compliance with the WTO requirements, signing bilateral Protocol with Kirghizstan. Kirghizstan demands refund money from Ukraine which Ukraine does not and will never admit, Viktor Yanukovych stressed. This issue does not concern Ukraine's accession into the WTO and, probably, will be relieved, the Prime Minister added.
