(www.for-ua.com) вЂ" An official ceremony of the meeting between President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko and President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, who is paying official visit to Ukraine, took place in Mariinsky Palace, president's press office reported.
Yushchenko met his colleague on footsteps of the Palace, military orchestra performed state hymns of both countries.
After the meeting tete-a-tete, which is being held now, heads of the states will hold Ukrainian-Kazakh negotiations in broadened composition. Negotiations will result in signing bilateral documents, reports Trend.
At the beginning of the meeting Yushchenko noted that Ukraine rates highly mutual relations with Kazakhstan and considers them stable and close.
Today's meeting of the Presidents of Ukraine and Kazakhstan, which is the fourth in tete-a-tete format for the past two years, witnesses that relation between the countries are reliable and dynamic, Yushchenko said.
In is turn, President of Kazakhstan expressed assurance that such contacts at the highest level promote development if mutual relations. According to him, opening of the Year of Kazakhstan in Ukraine today and the Year of Ukraine in Kazakhstan in 2008 will strengthen ties between Ukrainian and Kazakh peoples.
