It is necessary to form a common and balanced system of international relations. Today's talks have confirmed that the interaction in a tripartite format is based on commonness of approaches of the three states to fundamental issues of the world community, he said.

The Russian, Chinese and Indian foreign ministers have discussed a wide range of world policy problems, in particular Middle East settlement, the situation in Afghanistan, the Iranian and North Korean nuclear issue, and problems of Iraq.

Lavrov thanked Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing for the invitation to hold a next tripartite meeting in China, reports Trend.

The Indian foreign minister proposed a meeting of the three countries' businessmen in India.

Prospects for deepening the cooperation within the framework the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, prospects for stability in Central Asia with respect for sovereignty of the region's countries and without attempts to artificially create tension there have been reviewed at the talks, Lavrov said.

We have plans regarding the cooperation of the three states in the East Asian region in particular, and in the region as a whole, he said.
