( Itar-Tass ) - Settling of reciprocal claims over financing of construction works at the Iranian nuclear power plant in Bushehr is due to dominate Wednesday's talks between Russian and Iranian experts in Teheran.

The third round of consultations between groups of experts will be held behind closed doors.

Upon the end of talks held March 12 and March 13 in the Teheran office of the Russian company Atomstroiexport, the general contractor at Bushehr plant, Russian officials declined to comment on the contents of discussions with the Iranian delegation, led by deputy director of the country's Organization for Atomic Energy, Mohammad Saeedi.

Atomstroiexport's press secretary Irina Yessipova told Itar-Tass in Moscow the sides examined the Iranian government's proposals to resume financing of works at power unit number one of the Bushehr plant.

"The talks are intense and they will continue Wednesday," she said.

Sergei Novikov, an aide to the director of Russia's Federal Atomic Energy Agency /Rosatom/ said in an interview with Itar-Tass: "Atomstroiexport continues construction works in the amounts possible in a situation of under-financing by the Iranian side."

In the meantime, Iranian officials made statements Tuesday indicating that Iran refers to agreements reached last September and insists that Atomstroiexport fulfill its pledge commission the Bushehr plant in September 2007.

"The Russian government should fulfill all of its obligations on time so that other economic projects could proceed on the basis of this interaction," said Ali Larijani, the secretary of the Supreme Security Council. "The situation around the plant shows graphically there are no reliable guarantees of nuclear fuel supplies in the world, and this is the main reason behind Iran's plans to produce nuclear fuel independently."

Following his statement, the Organization for Atomic Energy said in a press release that the Iranian government and nation expect the Russian government to supply due amounts of nuclear fuel to the Bushehr facility by the end of March as stipulated by agreements.
