( ForUm ) - In case of Ukraine's accession into NATO Russia will have to go to the defense expenses, which may ruin the achieved results of economic reforms. Russia Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulin told in an interview.
"In Russia we cannot be indifferent to this question, because in case of Ukraine's accession into NATO Russia will have to rebuild defense doctrine and to go to the expenses, which may eat any results of economic reforms, frugal shoots of economic revival," he said speaking at the Russian-Ukrainian conference in Moscow.
He reminded that US Congress had supported recently Ukraine's and Georgia's bid for NATO, "though Ukraine never appealed to Congress."
