( ForUm ) - President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko signed a law on making changes to the Law of Ukraine "On Central Election committee", adopted by the VRU on May 29.
According to the law changes, all the staff of the CEC may be resigned before the scheduled time by the motivated decision of the President of Ukraine. Also, it is foreseen by the changes to the law, that the decision on the early resignation of the CEC staff is made not less than by 2/3 of the all staff of the VRU.
The law comes into force from the day of its promulgation.
As a reminder, the demand for making changes into the CEC legislation was in the mutual statement of Yushchenko, Yanukovych and Moroz concerning the early elections holding.
