( AFP ) - Sochi was declared the winner of the contest to host the 2014 Winter Games, International Olympic Committee president Jacques Rogge announced on Wednesday.
Sochi defeated runner-up Pyeongchang in final voting after Salzburg was knocked out of the race earlier in the day.
