Ruble down against dollar, euro by over 3% as Thursday trading starts on Moscow Exchange

The ruble weakened against the dollar and the euro by more than 3% during foreign currency trading on Moscow Exchange on Thursday compared with the previous closing, Trend reports with reference to TASS.

According to trading data as of 10:15 am Moscow time, the dollar exchange rate was up by 3.75% at 82.86 rubles, while the euro exchange rate was up by 4.17% at 90 rubles.

The dollar exchange rate was down by 1.75 kopecks at 79.85 rubles as Thursday trading opened, while the euro exchange rate was up by 10 kopecks at 86.5 rubles.

The MOEX Index was down by 0.87% at 2,506.47 points as of 10:15 am Moscow time, while the dollar-denominated RTS Index was down by 3.83% at 958.9 points. As of 10:00 am, the MOEX was up by 0.1% at 2,530.9 points, while the RTS was up by 0.13% at 998.32 points.
