On Thursday, Turkish Ambassador Levent Bilman said that simultaneous attacks were waged in 10 different locations in Mumbai, however, the assailants could not be identified yet, reported World Bulletin.

Bilman said unofficial figures showed that 102 people died and nearly 700 were injured in the attacks.

He also said that 8-9 Turkish citizens, who were staying at one of the hotels attacked by militants, survived and they were transferred to a safe region by Turkish officials.

"However, 3 citizens are still stuck in the hotel. They are a couple and a woman," said Bilman, stating that the Turkish citizens were currently locked in their rooms.

Bilman said that Indian officials did not give any information on whether or not they would wage an operation to the hotel under attack.

"We hope that the situation in the hotel ends as soon as possible," he said.
