An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale shook Mediterranean region in Turkey on Tuesday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
The report said that the quake hit some towns of Antalya province at 08:06 local time (0606 GMT), damaging some houses in the region, but no casualties was available until now, Xinhua reported.
Earthquakes are frequent in Turkey which lies on active fault lines. Two devastating earthquakes in the country in 1999 killed more than 18,000 people.
