Turkey strongly condemned on Monday terrorist attacks in Russia, Anadolu Agency reported.
Turkey's Foreign Ministry released a statement which said it strongly condemned two suicide attacks in the Russian capital of Moscow.
Turkey's President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu sent condolence messages to their Russian counterparts, the statement said.
In its statement, the ministry said Turkey, as a country that had fought against terrorism for years, strongly condemned heinous attacks in Moscow.
The statement said Turkey sincerely believed that international solidarity was obligatory in countering terrorism, and Turkey was in solidarity with Russia and was standing by that country against this heinous attack.
In its statement, the ministry said there was no information confirming that there were Turkish citizens among the casualties.
Two suicide bombers blew themselves up in twin attacks on subway stations in Moscow early on Monday, killing almost 40 and wounding tens of others.
