Eleven people were killed in two traffic accidents in northwest and southeast Turkey on Saturday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
A car collided with a truck in Harmancil town of Bursa province in northwest Turkey, killing seven people including three children, the report said, adding that Harmancil-Bursa highway was closed to traffic for two hours, Xinhua reported.
In another accident, four people were killed and one was injured when a truck hit a tanker on Nusaybin-Cizre highway in Nusaybin town of Mardin province in southeast Turkey, Anatolia reported.
The tanker's driver was seriously injured and has been taken to Mardin State Hospital for treatment, the report added.
Investigations into the two traffic accidents are underway, the report said.
