Supreme Military Board of Turkey convenes on Sunday
Supreme Military Board (YAŞ) convenes under the chairmanship of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Sunday, TRT reports.
The meeting is held at the General Staff Headquarters in which the promotions, retirements and disciplinary situations of the military personnel will be discussed.
The Board members will visit Atatürk's Mausoleum Anıtkabir on the first day of the meeting.
The members of the board will complete its work on August 4.
The decisions made at the YAŞ meeting will be made public after President Abdullah Gül's approval.
Chief of General Staff General Ilker Başbuğ will participate in the Supreme Military Board meeting for the last time who will be retiring because of the retirement age limit.
