The Organization of the Islamic Conference's (OIC) Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation will hold its twenty-sixth session in Istanbul from Oct. 4 to 8.
The meeting will be attended by OIC member states and economy ministers, as well as representatives of international organizations.
The event will be opened by OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu.
The OIC was founded on Sept. 25, 1969. The OIC brings together 57 countries with a population of about 1.2 billion people, as well as the Palestine Liberation Organization. The OIC is headquartered in Jeddah and ranks second in the world for the number of member states.
