German President Christian Wulff attended a concert held at the St. Irina church within activities on the election of Istanbul European Capital of Culture 2010, TRT Russian reports.
Istanbul is the last place visited by Christian Wulff during his visit to Turkey. The program of Wulff's visit to Istanbul included mainly activities related to culture, art and education.
Christian Wulff and his spouse Bettina Wulff arrived in Istanbul in the second half of Thursday after visiting Kayseri and Adana.
On the last day of his visit to Turkey, Wulff met with the Patriarch Bartholomew, visited Sultanahmet Mosque and Ayya Sofia museum. He also met with the Turkish students. Wulff after attending together with the President Gul the ceremony of laying the foundation of the Turkish-German university in the Beykoz district returned to Germany.
