Two workers were wounded and five others were reported missing as a coal production area collapsed near a thermic power plant in Kahramanmaras, the southeastern province of Turkey, on Thursday, Anadolu News Agency reported.
Governor Sukru Kocatepe said two workers were slightly wounded due to the collapse in a coal production area in Afsin-Elbistan B Thermic Power Plant.
"Five people are reported missing," Kocatepe told AA correspondent.
Kocatepe said local executives had asked neighbor provinces and the army to contribute to search and rescue efforts.
