Russia's Gazprom and Turkish company Botas will hold negotiations on Dec. 27 on the Russian gas supplies to Turkey, Anadolu agency reported with the reference on Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz.

"For this purpose a delegation of Gazprom will visit Ankara tomorrow [Dec. 27]," Yildiz said.

Botas informed the Russian Gazprom in October 2011 that it will not extend one of the agreements on Russian gas supply. The Turkish company explained that "one failed to reach agreement on desired discount rates".

Turkey is the second major importer of Russian hydrocarbon resources. Along with the "western route", it gets gas via Trans-Black Sea gas pipeline "Blue Stream".

Turkey has three contracts on gas supplies from Russia.

Earlier in December two Turkish companies - Bosphorus Gas and Akfel signed a memorandum of understanding with the Russian Gazprom to supply Russian gas to Turkey via the so-called "western route".
