At least thirteen inmates died from smoke inhalation and five more were reported injured in a fire in a prison in the south-east of Turkey according to local media reports.
According to preliminary data, a fire occurred after inmates set fire to blankets in a cell containing 18 people, The Voice of Russia reported.
The revolt was triggered by prisoners who were unhappy with the lack of air conditioners in the forty-degree heat.
