The terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) kidnapped the Justice and Development Party's (AK Party) Hakkari provincial head on Monday, Todays Zaman reported.
Mecit Tarhan, who has been working as the AK Party provincial head for two terms, was kidnapped by the terrorists early on Monday. He had been receiving threats constantly, according to initial reports.
The PKK also abducted Republican People's Party (CHP) deputy Hüseyin Aygün last month in Tunceli province, releasing him after two days of captivity.
