Around 25 militants of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) were killed as a result of a special operation conducted by the Turkish servicemen in the province of Afyon, TRT haber reported today.
The conflict between Turkey and the PKK which demands the creation of an independent Kurdish state has been on-going for more than 25 years claiming over 40,000 lives. The PKK group is recognised as a terrorist organisation by the UN and the European Union.
