The number of companies registered in Turkey has increased by 35.9 percent in January 2013 compared to the previous month, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey said in its report on its official website on Friday.
The number of enterprises in trade sphere, established in January increased by 22.06 percent, cooperatives - by 5.97 percent. Thus, 4175 enterprises were created in January 2013.
The total number of enterprises closed down during the period increased by 26.91 percent compared with the previous month, the number of liquidated commercial enterprises fell by 9.4 percent, cooperatives - by 52.1 percent.
Compared to January 2012, the total number of registered enterprises decreased by 20 percent, commercial enterprises - by 12 percent, and cooperatives - by 11 percent.
According to the report, the number of enterprises closed down within the year decreased by 31 per cent, enterprises in trade sphere - by 14 percent, cooperatives - 3 percent.
