An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale jolted Amasya province of Turkey on Thursday night, Dogan Agency reported.
Earthquake took place at 23:51 am local time at a depth of about ten kilometers.
No casualties or damages are reported as a result of the earthquake.
Turkey is located in a seismically active zone. The most powerful vibrations of the earth's crust in this country occurred in the Marmara Sea in 1999. The magnitude of the tremors was 7.4. About 18,000 people killed in the earthquake.
