The price of new houses in Turkey increased 13.55 percent in January compared with the same month of last year, Reidin-GYODER New House Price index shows Anadolu Agency reported.

According to a report prepared by Garanti Bank in collaboration with Reidin-GYODER, new house prices in Turkey increased 0.49 percent in January 2014 compared to the previous month.

The Turkey Composite House Price index, which measures the rate of change of Turkish single-family home prices, increased 1.39 percent compared to the previous month, rising 14.36 percent compared to same month of last year.

Annually the highest increase was seen in Istanbul with 18.59 percent while the lowest increase was recorded in Antalya with 5.85 percent.

The Composite House Price Index is an independent representation of the rate of change of single-family home prices. The measurements are based on the property sales records of public land registries.
