Authorities in Turkey have intercepted a cargo ship off the northwestern coast of Turkey with more than 100 illegal immigrants on board including women and children, Anadolu Agency reported.
Coast guard teams in Canakkale province were acting on a tip-off when they caught 121 immigrants on Saturday off the coast of the Behramkale village.
The captured immigrants, who are from Syria, Myanmar, Afghanistan and Somalia, were taken to the local coast guard command to be interrogated, authorities said.
