Nine workers, who were under rubble of a coal mine that collapsed in Turkey's north-western province of Zonguldak, have been rescued, according to Turkish TRT Haber TV channel.

The causes of the mine collapse are currently being clarified.

Earlier today, TRT Haber reported about the mine collapse in the Zonguldak Province, adding that nine people were under the rubble.

Zonguldak is also the place of one of Turkey's worst mining disasters. In 1992, a mine accident in this province killed 263 people.
