Energetic security is the main goal of Turkey's energy strategy, said international affairs' minister Mevlut Chavushoglu at the meeting of "Asia cooperation dialogue" (ACD), Anadolu Agency reported.

According to him, there is a big potential in a point of cooperation and cooperative projects with Asian countries.

Chavushoglu also added that national fields development, increasing the number of energy resources types, increasing percentage of renewable energy sources, development of nuclear energetic are the main points of strategy of Turkey.

The "Asia cooperation dialogue" (ACD) is a forum of interregional cooperation, which forms a connecting link between major Asian sub-regional associations (ASEAN, "ASEAN+3", SAARC, Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, SCO and others), and is being planned in perspective to be the leading structure of pan-Asian cooperation.

Today the forum consist of 28 states - 10 ASEAN countries, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Bhutan, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Qatar, PRC, Kuwait, Mongolia, UAE, Oman, Pakistan, Korean Republic, Saudi Arabia, Sri-Lanka, Japan and Russia (from the April 2005).
