France supports Turkey's intention to create a buffer zone on the Syrian border, French President Francois Hollande said.
Hollande made the remarks during a phone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Anadolu news agency reported Oct. 8.
Reportedly, the conversation focused on the situation in Syria and Iraq.
Referring to Iraq, the two presidents said they support the fight against the terrorist organization known as the Islamic State.
