Turkish FM and the US President's representative to discuss IS and Syria

The problems of Syria and IS were discussed during the meeting between Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Chavushoglu and the Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition against ISIL, general John Allen, Anadolu Agency reported.

According to diplomatic sources, Allan thanked Turkey for the help to Syrian and Iraqi refugees and expressed his satisfaction about Turkish people kept in Mosul setting free.

Allan informed Chavushoglu about his previous negotiations, expressed his opinion about necessary steps and mentioned that security problems of the region should be solved according to unified strategy.

He also mentioned that the basis of region's security problems is existence of political systems like Asad's one and that political transformation in Syria should be held according to the Geneva Convention.

John Allen has met the councilor of the IA Ministry Firudin Sinirlioglu as well.
