The latest developments in Turkey won't affect the country's economy, in particular, tourism, Hurriyet newspaper reported Aug. 3 citing the country's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The flow of tourists from Russia has dropped due to the developments in Turkey but was replaced by tourists from Germany, according to the president.

Earlier, Turkish Statistical Institute said that the country's revenues from tourism have decreased in Q2 of 2015, compared to the same period of 2014.

Turkey's revenues from tourism dropped by 13.8 percent in Q2 and stood at $7.733 billion.

The institute said that of the total volume of Turkey 's revenues from tourism in Q2, $5.95 billion accounted for foreign tourists, while $1.77 billion for Turkish citizens residing abroad.

The country's revenues from this sphere stood at $34.305 billion in 2014, or 6.2 percent more than in 2013.
