Turkish police are holding a large-scale anti-terrorist operation in 17 districts of Istanbul, the local newspaper Milliyet has reported on its website.
Police have already made detainments, but the number and citizenship of those taken under custody have not been revealed.
Earlier, Turkish special services said that there is a threat of terror attacks in some districts of Istanbul.
Previously, a large anti-terrorist operation was held in Istanbul on Nov. 12, during which the police detained 192 people.
