Baku, Azerbaijan, June 7
By Rufiz Hafizoglu - Trend:
Germany has to correct its historical mistake in relation to Ankara, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in an interview with TRT Haber news channel June 7.
"Instead of adopting a resolution on the so-called Armenian genocide, Germany has to take into account the interests of Turkey and the Turks living in Germany," said Cavusoglu.
Germany's Bundestag (parliament) adopted a resolution on recognizing the so-called Armenian genocide June 2.
Armenia and the Armenian lobby claim that Turkey's predecessor, the Ottoman Empire, committed the so-called genocide against Armenians living in Anatolia in 1915. While strengthening the propaganda of "genocide" in the world, Armenians achieved its recognition by parliaments of some countries.
