Erdogan can visit Belarus in November
Baku, Azerbaijan, Oct. 31
Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan can visit Minsk in November, however, there is no final decision yet, RIA Novosti learned from the trade adviser in Turkey’s Embassy in Belarus.
As expected, the Minsk mosque will be opened Nov. 11. Earlier, it was planned that the ceremony will be attended by Turkey’s president.
The possibility of Erdogan's visit is being mulled by Turkish and Belarusian parties, the agency reported.
The visit of a Turkish business delegation to Belarus was scheduled for the end of July. It was expected that Minsk will host a Belarus-Turkey business forum which will be attended by Erdogan. However, the president's visit was postponed at the request of the Turkish side in connection with declaration of a state of emergency in Turkey after a failed coup attempt July 16.
Another visit was cancelled in September, although the embassy was preparing it in the early autumn.
