Throughout Turkey, as well as in such cities as Ankara and Istanbul, the number of storeys in new buildings will be limited, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, Turkish media reported Dec.1.
Erdogan said that this is linked with preservation of the environment and mainly covers areas where there is an urgent need to preserve the environment.
The President noted that the maximum permitted number of storeys in new buildings will be six.
Erdogan also said that today in Turkey, the construction of new buildings is carried out systematically, but often the standards for environmental protection are not observed.
